Various Machines Used

PP Mats are globally popular plastic mats used largely in South Asian continent and UAE zones. PP Mats manufacturing process involves semi-automatic/ fully automatic machinery to execute various processes to arrive at finished goods. Entire process begins with PP granules mixed with master batch/ pigment in a tumbler mixer and made ready for extrusion process. Colour mixed granules are taken through extrusion process that involves conversion into hollow tubes of desired diameter. These tubes are preserved in a tray to maintain straightness and later fed into weaving machines hopper.

Depending on design, tubes are selected for weaving using PP filament yarn as warp and tubes as weft. Weaving machines produces mats in roll form and later these rolls are cut in desired size for hot sealing machine. Cutting process involves inspection for faults and rectification followed by sewing machine and border tapes stitching work on both the sealed ends. Finished mats are packed in attractive plastic printed bag for further dispatches.

Indian mat industry uses India made Mat machines as well as China made machines depending on production needs and throughput.
