PP Mats quality is determined largely by means of its major component/ material used i.e. Polyproplene. The Polyproplene material used in making of PP mats is available in three different categories viz. Virgin PP, Semi-Virgin PP and Reprocessed PP. Functionally all qualities are identical and they differe in terms of product life, look and feel due to varying material cost. The mats made from virgin PP are durable, long lasting, and more color options are available. Reprocess are cheap and have a good eco appeal

Which quality of PP Mats are to be used is also decided many a times on the basis of utility and purpose. Many refugee camps use reprocessed material based Mats for Tents and temporary relief works as life span desired is lower and location where they are to be used is equally abnormal. High-end or indoor use largely consume virgin material based PP mats wherein outdoor mats sometimes have mixed usage and requirement.
